If you were expecting a deposit but don’t see it in your Purple account, don’t worry — here are the steps you can take to track it down.

1. Confirm the deposit was sent

  • For Social Security or SSI/SSDI: Log in to your SSA.gov account and check the payment status. Look for whether it shows as “Paid.”

  • For employers or other payers: Check your payroll system or ask your HR/payroll department if the deposit was released.

2. Verify your account details

  • Make sure the payer has your correct routing number and account number.

  • You can find your details in the Purple app:

  • From the Home tab, tap your Checking account tile, then Account Details.

3. Allow for processing time

  • Deposits may not always appear first thing in the morning.

  • Government benefits like SSI/SSDI may arrive up to 4 days early¹, but the exact timing depends on when the SSA sends the payment file.

  • Paychecks and other deposits may arrive up to 2 days early¹.

  • If your payer shows the deposit as “Paid,” it may still take 1–2 business days to appear.

4. If it’s still missing

  • For SSA benefits: Call the Social Security Administration if your deposit is marked as “Paid” but hasn’t arrived after 2 business days.

  • For employers/other payers: Contact your payroll department first to confirm the payment details.

  • If the payer confirms the deposit went to the correct account and it still hasn’t shown up, contact Purple Support through the app.
