You can easily set up direct deposit for your Social Security benefits, paycheck, or other income to go straight into your Purple account.

Find your direct deposit details

In the Purple app

  1. Open the Purple app and log in.

  2. From the Home tab, tap your Checking account tile.

  3. Tap Account Details to view your routing and account number.

On the web

  1. Sign in at withpurple.com.

  2. Or go directly to app.withpurple.com/checking-details to see your account info.

Give your details to your payer

  • For Social Security or SSI/SSDI: update your information through SSA.gov or by contacting your local Social Security office.

  • For employers or other payers: provide them with your Purple account and routing numbers.

Good to know

  • Your Purple account works just like a standard checking account for direct deposits.

  • Government benefits like SSI or SSDI may arrive up to 4 days early¹.

  • Paychecks and other deposits may arrive up to 2 days early¹.

  • Direct deposit setup timing depends on your payer—it can take 1–2 pay cycles for the change to take effect.

Purple is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services are provided by OMB Bank, Member FDIC. The Purple Mastercard® Debit Card is issued by OMB Bank, Member FDIC, pursuant to license from Mastercard.

¹ Early access is not guaranteed and depends on payer timing. We generally make funds available on the day we receive the payment file, which may be up to 4 days early for government benefits like SSI or SSDI, and up to 2 days early for other deposits. Early access is available at no additional cost.

² See our fee schedule for complete details.
